Notting Hill Carnival 2009!
Dear Diary,
Basically i’m gonna go all dramatic and say i had the best day ever ( on the Bank holiday monday that is, sunday i was pissed of like a gooden)
It all started on Friday when my friend Joby threw a house party all the way up in North London -the night started really badly, i was suppose to meet my friend Raquel at East Finchley tube, minute i got off the train i recieved a text saying she couldn’t make it, so there was me at 1030pm stuck on my own in North London, i then noticed that i was at the tube station where a scene in Harry Potter was filmed, which cheered me up for a second, but then i realised i would have to go to the party alone ( yup its dumb, but i hate that, when its comes to parties i prefer arriving with a gaggle rather than on my jack jones) So Jobias’s party turned out to be nice and melow, full of 18 year old boys discussing exams and girls ( i know im only 20, but i felt so so so much older but it was nice trying to be a teenager again, i think i even said something was ‘well good’)
(This is what they looked like -i forgot to take actual pictures–)

After being chased into the loo by an intoxicated 19 year old and having Joby save me from a potentially embarassing situtation by saying he’d forgotten to shampoo his Goldfish ( dont ask) i called a cab at 3am and ventured back to West LDN.
Saturday: Nike Reset at the 1948 Nike concept store in Shoreditch, East London.
Nike Reset is basically a collection of a bunch of streetwear brands including TrapStar who come together to showcase/sell their collections.
Apart from seeing loads of friendly faces, best bit was sitting down with my mate Chalin in the American Diner on Curtain Road, with a bunch of beautiful girls who looked like this:

We drunk Peanut butter milkshakes, cussed the moody waitresses, and chatted about music , cheek bones and piercings.

11pm! Reset After Party at Cordy House.
I don’t wanna bore you with party details, but i love Cordy House, for those of you over-sea-sers, its a huge warehouse covered in graffiti writting inside and out, but apparently its closing. Im upset to say the least, because the space is inspiring and i have sooo many happy drunk memories there. Oh well, i saw the reset after party as my cordy house blowout/funeral, so i drunk fruit punch with extra rum, and danced besides the fan till 4am until my feet which were stuffed into 6 inch heels couldnt take anymore, my afro in the heat was developing nicely too.
CARNIVAL!
Too many lovely moments to put into writting.
In summary.
SUNDAY= Yum scrabbled egg and diced bacon with pita cooked by me for me, met up with bestie dutch friend roeland, walked , walked, got lost, walked some more, tamborine from the early learning centre, LEVI ROOTS, rum, walking, dancing, lace butterfly leotard, JELLY SHOTS, DSL/YoYo party at William iv PUB. cab.sleep.rant on twitter about how humanity sucks.

MONDAY ( BEST DAY EVER EVER EVERRRRRR) Red Bull Lazer Diplo, Switch & Rusko Party.
ARGHHHHHHHHHH! I loved every single minute of Monday, which all started at 12 midday when i met my girl Chalin under the westway. We arrived extra early because apparently Red Bull invited 6000 people, or they expected 6000 people to try and blag there way in, ( 1000 capacity!). 1 pm Chalin’s beautiful cousin, kim arrived, who looked like this ( with Chris, who helped me kick start this blog!)

We arrived so early it looked like this: ( Chalin/Grace demonstrating the empty-ness)

2 hours later it looked like this:

After eating yum chillie corn bread and Dante’s chicken, this is how my day looked!

Irene A , Reggie Y…

DJ Martello

DJ Sam Young ( nope for the millionth time we R NOT BRO AND SIS!) – and beautiful chalin

beauty!

We made a sneaky cut through, (left is lovely Patricia Williams) as my friend Ben said ( he does PR for Laminate mag for which im Social Editor) -space felt like a valuable commodity after walking the streets to find the after party that mista jam, annie mac and Nick Grimshaw were DJ-ing at.

Benji B & Kim

Then Chalin decided to sleep on a table in the middle of a party- its no carnival until someone makes a bold move after all -

Did i mention i also fell in love, i was complaining to Kim about how i hadn’t had my carnival crush, and just like a present, a friend of chalin’s ( who was Dutch- and u guys know i speak the language and basically love anything dutch) had a massive group of dutchies with her, a guy that kinda looked like this ( but taller, a little skinner and a longer face- ( he was a BEAUTY) started chatting with me in Dutch and how he lived in Rotterdam, and how he thought i was Leif and Leuk ( Sweet and Pretty) and guess what he does for work – TEACHES KIDS)- too bad he was leaving for holland the next day….but too good that im going to Holland at the start of October for my friends bday!- WATCH THIS SPACE.

I’ll end on the falling in love bit, cause it summarises the best weekend ive had in forever.
