Dear Diary.

PHEW i havent even had time to sit down and blog (v.bad) + i’ve lost half a stone down to the fact i’m even finding it hard to make time to eat! Needless to say, schedual has been slightly hectic. But i love it, i’m always pinching myself and asking if this really is my life? Without sounding like a smug numpty, i’m doing what i love, and that novelty never wears off.
Anyway here is my week in pictures!

I was invited to present/attend the Vinspired National awards, a national event celebrating and recognising the incredible contributions young people aged 16-25 have made to their communities through all forms of volunteering. I interivew Bashy, Tinchy Stryder, Lady Soveriegn and James khan.

The lovely and very softly spoken Tinchy Stryder. I have such respect for all that he has achieved!

He told me artists such as Dizzee and Wiley paved the way for underground grime MC’s like himself to achieve commercial and main stream chart success.

He also told me he is turning his hand to fashion designing, and plans to expand his street wear ’star in the hood’ brand.

Next up was charming ex bus driver and now actor and recording artist, Bashy.

I had a chat to him about his sudden rise to fame in the last 2 years. He said getting attacked in the street by hoards of females on a regular basis, was ‘just not normal’ -Got that right sir!

I asked whether music or acting was his first love -quite the chicken and egg question, but he said without hesitation his first real passion was acting. He also revealed exclusive info about a new film my friend Mo Ali directed called Shank , for which Bashy stars in. http://www.shankthefilm.com/ Shank is out in the New Year.

And then finally …Miss ”Lady Sovereign”. This was an interesting interview, as i have been told she is quite the eccentric, which i can deal with, but having observed her doing the limp / pimp walk around the room, she did seem a little unaturally hyped and gobby.

Luckily in my interview she seemed a little calmer and we got chatting about being signed to Jay Z’s label Def Jam. How did that happen? LS told me how she remembered being summonded by Jigga, and told to ”freestyle”. And upon there first meeting, he gave her some original unreleased kanye beats to get creative to, but LS moodily proclaimed she ‘wasn’t feelin it’. erm Wow. Now she has turned her talents to …none other than..football! YES FOOTBALL. Leyton Ladies to be exact. ( Errm from Jay Z to Leyton Ladies?!) what on earth went wrong? All to be revealed in a video, out soon on v website!

NIKE iD filming for ANGLOMANIA magazine’s new tv channel!

But seriously my boy at Nike properly hooked us up with some goodies. 3 pairs of kicks to be exact. I chose the af1 and added details such as cold tipped laces and see through soles! oohh yeaaaaurrr! Now i have to wait a whole 4 weeks before they arrive..BUMMERR but it will surely be worth it. Full episode out soon, + editorial/print feature out in Anglomania’s feb 2010 issue!
