Dear Diary,
I just got back from Amsterdam ( after 3 cancelled flights!!) and the whole of the UK seems to be glued on this celebrity Big brother shizzle. Thank God my TV isnt working. ANYWAYS….
I was invited along to the V inspired awards to interview this lot! I wasn’t actually going to put this into the public domain, but as all my UK peeps are getting into Celebrity Big Brother and Lady Sovereign is one of the contestants…. Heres an extra treat for you!
Also i had the BEST NYE ever. I went in with nooo expectations, and it turned out to be superduper fun. I had to dj at a Bangers and Mash event at The Garage Along Side The Rifles and White Lies. It was the funnest gig, i was mainstage, which trust me is scary enough, but the crowd was soo eclectic it was almost impossible to tell what kinda of music to play. Defo not my usual urban set. So i decided to switch it up, playing everything from new tracks from Grime MC’s such as Wiley, and Scorzayzee, to old skool hiphop, unreleased Ebony bones songs, Kings of Leon anthems , to random but fun new years stuff like the Prince of Bel air theme tune and some Jackson 5 oldies,so before you knew it the crowd was jumpin! As cheesy as it sounds, to see a whole room bopping about and smiling because your playing good music is the best feeling ever. . Since the gig i’ve got a plethora of congrats messages about my set, so shout outs!
My view is, music deserves respect, and all these ”cute” female ‘DJ’s’ who just press play and think a mix is some kind of cocktail, just don’t cut it. Safe to say, i ain’t heading in that direction!
RANT OVER. have a look at the nice piccies by photographer Eva Pentel.

Over and out, my body is ruined from travelling, but will write soon! Promise.
