TINIE TEMPAH
One sunny summer sunday morning around 11am, kettle boiling, toast burning, as usual had i BBC radio 1xtra on, among the general radio chitter chatter and noises of the city waking up, on the radio came something that made me stop for a second, a voice that sort of sounded like honey and creamy greek yogurt tastes, an MC was being interviewed about something. Wow, with a voice that dewy, this guy had to be dreamy, but i was late for a shoot so i had to switch the radio off before i could get to know who the voice belonged to, damn i was late. A month later at a party in Hackney, 1am hit and i found myself to be quite drunk, jumping around to 90’s jams i was stopped by some guy who very quietly asked ‘ sorry to bother you, but i was wondering whether your bum was real or if it was just the padding in your dress’ ? Without turning around I loudly kissed my teeth and rolled my eyes thinking it was some sorta next pervert, going back to dancing, i stopped, hang on a minute, that was the voice from the radio, i quickly turned around to see a fuzzy image of a grinning looking Tinie, i blinked, and in a flash he was gone. *sigh*
Well, now he’s all famous and that with his new single ‘PASS OUT’, i thought i should share this little moment with you. Anyway, jokes aside, ‘Pass out’ is a massive tune ( rumour has it some DJ played it 10 times in just one set!) So buy it on itunes, request on Radio 1 and the rest. Good music deserves support, so do cute mc’s
