LOVE IT = thats what im talking about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! – that girl is stunning – the fashion industry is behind racially & sorry Bt but vogue & all those magazines are definitely using tokenism (not sure if thats spelt right)
Thanks
That was so interesting. the first thing i have to say is that girl didn’t have a big booty.i seen some booties(lol) what do they want poles.Although sad, racism is a part of society and it wont go away any time soon. That girl has the right idea. she needs to stay driven and she’ll get there one day.
bt… I’m curious what race do you belong to…? Either way it doesn’t really matter.
From a plus sized model being air brushed thin to a white model being painted ‘black’ this is not evolution. The fashion industry is as backwards as it’s ever been. Even black models are forced to be as European as they can get I mean which black model wears her natural hair…? And I’m not talking shaved of bald I’m talking embracing those beautiful tight curls not the strait hair? (Contrary to popular belief black women can grow healthy natural hair at any length).
The model in the video even, black women tend to be more curvy hips etc. This model was said to be ‘…slightly wide on the hips… black models tend to be wider hips…’ he said again the ‘White is right’ attitude.
The industry has taken a few baby steps forward but in doing so everyone has to conform to this euro-centric stick insect one dimensional standard of beauty.
Last thing… how many black, Asian basically non white women do you see advertising beauty, hair and general products on TV or billboards? I shouldn’t think I have to say anymore…
