At 25 Goldielocks aka Sarah Akwisombe, is a UK producer, recording artist, DJ and wife.

In the shoot below she might look every inch the late 90’s pop starlet, but she ain’t no spice girl.

Having just set up her own record label ‘Gut instinct’, one of her artists ‘Kashmir Kid’ is soon to release the next underground smash ‘Return to Bombay City’.

With only a handful of good UK female producers around, Goldielocks aka Sarah is flying the flag for the underground female music mogal. When asked if she has ever struggled to find her place as a female in the industry she states ‘it has been more difficult placing myself in a genre rather than struggling with being a girl in a mainly male dominated industry’

The inspiration for this shoot came from 90’s pop album covers, those cliche poses, lots of pink, mini mini shorts and candy floss hair. But of corse updated to suit 2010 trends. Leather and suede shorts are going to be a staple this winter, so to go against the grain try going for as much colour as possible with details like studs. The pink suede waist coat is a different take on the structure of the full leather jacket, which is another staple for A/W 2010. To be individual you can still go for the practical jacket structure but try going for a different colour like candy pink or a different fabric like suede.
