The headband is from American Apparel- which is basically a wire with tights wrapped over it. friggin genius and very very versatile (etc belt, turban, arm band etc)

Adidas watch.

Colour blocking. A styling method  which creates a bold, innovative image that allows you to clash colours with class. IF you do it well, the results can be v.high fashion.

This look was totally DIY. The pink skirt was originally a body cod American Apparel dress but i didn’t like the way it fitted the model so i made it into a skirt. The top was an over size t-shirt, so i made it into an off the shoulder fitted crop. A few safety pins and drapery, its way easy.

MODIFICATION:

Trust me safety pins can go very far, and with a pull and a pinch, and lots of drapery, you can transform a no into a go!

More importantly there was a graffiti artist there to customise my not yet released diamond flx Air trainers, courtesy of Nike. I chose to go for a leopard/tribal print look. But apart from the shoe itself actually looking really really pretty ( which lets face it, is kinda essential) the next day i started my new 7 am work out routine and they were literally bliss! It felt as though i was running on a bed of pillows and air, i guess that would be the Air Max bubble unit feature, which actually gives major extra support. I also dance a lot at Pineapple dance studios, and because these trainers are so light weight and move really easily, they would also be perfect for dance training too. score!

Its not like NikeWomen Air Trainer One is one of them magical toning shoes but its actually a serious training shoe. It retrains your muscles to work how they are suppose to work allowing the muscles in your feet to better communicate with the rest of your muscles in your legs and core so you get the most out of your workout. So yes, you get toned, but it’s not because of the shoe. It’s because of YOU and the shoe. Sounds a good combo to me!!

The good news is whether you work out or not you will LOVE this new shoe, they look cute and feel like heaven, bad news is you will have to wait till August 1st to get your mucky little paws on them! Countdown starts now kiddos!

Also big ups to Nike for sending me these beauties, which i have been lusting after for 2 summers!

Devraj was not a man with a backbone, and who could blame him? Being beat on a regular basis as a child by his Father and over indulged by his Mother who catered to Devraj’s every demand, he hadn’t learned how to be bold and make his own choices in life. The truth was, he didn’t want to marry the beautiful Jayita, but nor did he care to offend or stand up to his hot headed Father, so as usual he complied with a quiet resentment.

The fact was Devraj’s mind kept drifting back to a boy he became friends with when he was 15 was a problem, he and Haresh a tall skinny boy with wide eyes, thick lashes and light brown skin had spent summers causing trouble around town, buying sweets, stealing their sisters clothes, making funny impressions and skipping school, it was the only time he had ever broken any rules or done anything remotely rebellious, and he loved every second. Devraj loved what his best friend represented, he loved the freedom he felt when he was with him and more specifically he loved Haresh. One afternoon in high summer, his father found Haresh and Devraj caked in their sisters makeup and rummaging through her closet so he forbade Devraj from ever seeing his beloved friend again, calling Haresh a ‘pansy boy good for nothing’.

13 years later, Devraj missed Haresh. He was stuck in a loveless marriage, and he was stuck with an identity that he couldn’t identify with. I suppose father will expect us to have a child soon he lamented. The fact that the marriage hadn’t been consummated yet was a whole other issue, and what was he supposed to do about that? Devraj wondered into his and Jayita’s room and spotted his stunning wifes bindis, sarhis, and jewels, everything looked so beautiful, so delicate, and reminded him of Haresh. He picked up an embellished red sarhi and longed to feel the soft fabric against his skin…..
